How to trade shares
Just Shares Training
(by Sam McNeill, Professional Trader and
Director, Just Shares)
Have you always thought that learning to
trade shares was complex and
expensive?
Stop! Here’s a fact for you: most professional
share traders use a small number of very straight forward
techniques to trade.
If you’re like me, the first time that
you hear this it sounds plain wrong. Surely professionals
who make their living from trading shares must use complex
approaches and multiple techniques?
Not so.
At Just Shares our home study share trading course will teach you how to trade shares using
straight forward trading techniques that professional
share traders use every day.
By the time you finish reading the
information on this web page you will know two of the
hidden truths of trading shares using straight forward
techniques.
As you study every word of what follows
you will be amazed at how straight forward share
trading really is.
But before I continue let me confess
something....
Share trading is not for everyone. I am
not going to try and convince you to trade shares unless
you already want to. This is because of the following
fact.
Fact: There is no easy lazy way to make
money from share trading. If you are looking
for a promise of vast riches for no effort and no risk you
are looking at the wrong place.
Here’s another fact for you: The first
hidden truth about trading is about protecting your money. It could be called the
Golden Rule of share trading. When you use this rule as you trade
you will be protecting your own money. Stated simply this
Golden Rule says that if the price of the share that you
are trading falls instead of rising then you sell it.
No-one ever made money from holding a share that was
falling in price.
This sounds simple, logical and
sensible. And it is. In fact using this Golden Rule can
often be the difference between making money and losing
money when you trade shares.
Have you noticed that I have started by
talking about how to protect your money rather than how to
make money? This is quite deliberate. Your first and most
important job when trading shares is to protect your money.
After all you will be trading using your own hard earned
cash and protecting it is vitally important.
The second hidden truth about
trading is that professional traders trade with the
trend. Quite simply this means that if the
price of a share is already going up then it makes a good
candidate for trading. Professional traders ignore
impossible to implement clichés like “buy low, sell high”.
Impossible to implement because clichés like this one would
require you to have the ability to predict the future with
absolute certainty and total precision.
